Piper

We saved Piper and her litter of puppies from euthanasia at a high-kill shelter. They lived there huddled together in a tote container, when I saw their shelter photo, my heart just sank :(  We took them in and Piper raised her little ones, who were all later adopted by awesome families. Piper's big day came too and she has been pampered ever since ;)  Her mom writes:

"Just wanted to check in with you and give you an update on sweet Piper. We just celebrated her one year adoption day this past weekend. It was full of pink tutus, party hats, and ice cream. We can't thank you enough for providing such a caring environment for Piper until we found her. We have absolutely fallen in love with her... she brings such joy to us everyday. We affectionately call her "mom dog" or just "mom" for short. She is such an old soul and the perfect fit for our family. She's doing really well... taking lots of naps and eating lots of treats. We pretty much think she has it made"!

"We think the world of your organization and what you are doing for all these dogs that would have no hope without you all. After all, you saved our Piper from the same situation. We really can't thank you and your team enough... we can't imagine our lives without this sweet girl"!

She shared some super cute photos of Piper on her birthday, this was one of them. Happy Birthday Piper!

"Almost 3 years ago I adopted my sweet boy from you, Zedd. He has been one of the greatest joys in my life. You guys run an amazing organization and will definitely come back when the time is right to rescue another. Just wanted to share an updated photo of my little boy with the original photo you had taken! Thank you all again for doing what you guys do"!!

Xena

 Xena Tennessee Death Row Dogs

One of our favorite TDRD dogs ever, Xena, was adopted this past weekend and there were definitely some misty eyes around here! Xena had a terrible life before joining us and she is the happiest, sweetest dog. She holds no grudges, is so appreciative and full of love. For each of our dogs, I always envision the perfect fitting home for their personality. Xena is always excited to do something new and I hoped for a family that would take her on lots of new adventures. We received an update today with a photo of Xena, already out cruising with her family in their boat. It means more to me than there are words to describe. Xena went from being seized for cruelty and neglect to living a life that dogs dream about! From the bottom of our hearts, we thank her amazing parents for giving her the life I've always wanted for her!

Brandy & Emmett

Brandy Emmett Tennessee Death Row Dogs

Brandy and Emmett's mom writes:  "Back in early June we visited Nashville for CMA Fest. During the week we decided to take a day away from the city and see what else Tennessee had to offer. We accidently stumbled upon TNDD's adoption event in Franklin. I said to Dave let's just look with no intentions of truly taking any pups home because we didnt' know if we could give them the time they deserved. We took out cute little Emmett from his crate and then Brandy (who goes by the alias Ms. Peyton Manning now). I looked at her beautiful face and his playful spirit and said to Dave, "which one?" He replied, "How do we choose?" and with that I said ok let's take both! The month seemed like forever, but we got them home and they simply adore each other. I cannot imagine my life before we took these affectionate, lovable pups into our home"!

Baloo

Baloo - TN Death Row Dogs - Success Story

Baloo's mom sent us a wonderful update with some photos of him settling in to his new home. He is shown here enjoying a nap with his dad. :) We hear Baloo is taking his first road trip to PA to visit more of his extended family very soon! His mom writes: "I just wanted to give you an update on Baloo. He is doing fantastic and we love him to death!!!! He has been such a wonderful addition to our family. He loves to go to the dog park and riding in the car while hanging his head out the window. He is so playful and loves everyone he meets." We are so happy this incredible guy found such a wonderful family to share his life with!
